Two people.
One read.

A producer drives the scroll. The talent reads it in a browser next to Zoom. That's the whole tool. Here's each side, start to finish.

You · The Producer

Drive the read

  1. Open the app & hit Start session.
    You get a 4-letter code. (If asked, enter the team password first.)
  2. Send the talent link.
    Click Copy talent link → paste into Slack or a text. They open it, they're in.
  3. Drop in the script.
    Paste or upload .txt/.docx, then Load to prompter.
  4. Press Play.
    The speed slider sets the pace. The right side shows exactly what the talent sees.
  5. Lock control if you want the wheel.
    Hit Lock control so the talent can only read — no accidental grabs mid-take. Unlock anytime.
Them · The Talent

Read to camera

  1. Open the link the producer sent.
    Code's already filled in. (Enter the team password if asked, then Join.)
  2. Put the window under your webcam.
    Closer to the lens = better eyeline. Full-screen with the ⛶ button if you like.
  3. Read the line on the blue guide.
    The producer scrolls for you. Nothing to touch.
  4. Need to run it yourself? Take control.
    Button's in the top bar — unless the producer has locked control, then just read.

Good to know

Best tracking: during setup, size the two windows to a similar shape & size — the closer they match, the tighter the blue line tracks.
Reset to line: stops both screens on the same line at the blue guide — use it to re-sync after a jump.
Play / pause: Spacebar. Arrows = faster / slower.
Bold / italic / highlight: select text, hit B I H
Move the blue reading line: drag the handle on it.
Jump around the script: drag or scroll-wheel on the text.
Connection blips: it reconnects itself. The script and place are kept.
Lock control (producer): talent goes read-only until you unlock.
Runs in any browser — nothing to install. For a real remote shoot, the producer and talent can be anywhere; just use the same web address and the same code.
